What Is Best – Enhancement Or Elemental Tree For Leveling?

In forums I often read the question which Shaman build is the best for leveling a character 1-80. A lot of players really want to know if they if the Elemental spec is the way to go.

Here’s what I think: The Elemental spec is a no-go for any character below level 60. Don’t even think about using the elemental tree before you hit at least level 58-59.

There’s a simple reason why the elemental shaman build is not viable for low level characters. The talent build is a caster build and requires both mana and spell damage to increase your leveling potential.

A good shaman gear with great stats is required so you can increase your mana pool, mana regen, spell dmg and crit chances. Here’s the big but: You hardly come across such items in the old world. Most items have tons of strength and agility, even critical strike rating. But there are only a few items that actually support casters.

Sure, you can just visit an instance and try to collect the loot there. But guess what, this doesn’t really serve you any good because it’s time spend not leveling, so just go with a better tree.

The Elemental tree becomes a great option after level 60 and more of the world opens up to you.

For every player below level 60 I highly recommend to spec the Enhancement Shaman build. It requires a lot less mana and you can still deal amazing damage with your melee skills – especially dual-wielding and elemental weapons!

Don’t make the mistake to choose a talent build that you will find absolutely not gear for. Play with the Enhancement spec and wait until you visit the outlands. You can have a lot of fun with the Elemental tree once you reach the high level areas and – of course – in the endgame content.

Until then – have fun with the Enhancement build!

Get To Know The WoW Warrior And Master Your Talent Specs

Of all classes in World of Warcraft, the Warrior is probably the mot useful one. Being the excellent tanks that they are they are the center of every raid party. Those Warriors stick to the Protection tree to increase their survivability and their aggro management.

No raid party would be possible without at least one tank. Healers and Tanks are the pillar of every raid party

Aside from that, they’re also fearsome foes in PvP matches. A Mortal Strike Warrior with the Arms talent build can execute any healer in no time.

With a proven warrior spec you immediately become a powerful asset for your guild and your guild mates will know they can rely on you to tank bosses and trashmobs.

A good place to start is the Blizzard forum and the WoW Wiki – you can find some real gems there if you look hard enough. And of course there are powerful online talent builder – programs to help you planning and tweaking your talent spec.

If you want your toon to become a very powerful warrior, I strongly recommend you make yourself familiar a warrior guide. The warrior plays pretty straight forward but there are a lot of subtleties to it, especially in higher levels. Stick to the wrong attack rotation and you could lose all the aggro of a boss mob and have your whole raid wiped out within seconds.

A lot of players have invested their time to figure out really good specs. Try some of thouse effective, proven warrior builds, and then master the one build that you favor the most.

Another great way to improve your character handling is by watching many of the YouTube videos you can find online and see how progamers handle their warrior and what they can do with it.

Even go a step further and send them a message with your questions.

If you strive for excellence in your warrior handling, you’ll be a powerful asset that is welcome in any guild.
