Leveling a toon in World of Warcraft can be frustrating. Especially if you have leveled a few chars to level 80 already and know all the areas inside out. You know that you won’t encounter anything new. Leveling becomes a job.

Let me help you to get it over with so you can explore the endgame content with your friends and guild mates again!

Here are my top tips for increasing your leveling speed:

First of all you should say ByeBye to grinding. Grinding is a thing of the past. The days of grinding are over. When World of Warcraft was released, grinding was a great way to gather massive amounts of experience, it was even faster than questing. But for some time now, quests give much more experience and are much more efficient than killing mobs all over.

The second advice of my mage leveling guide is this one: Get a leveling talent build that really suits your playing style. Sure, some talent builds work better than others. But if you feel uncomfortable with your strategy and thus make a lot of mistakes, do you think you can really level any faster?

If you prefer a leveling build that is easy to play, I suggest you go with the Fire spec. It’s not as efficient as the Frost build, but you don’t need a lot of skill or concentration to execute it.
