The WoW Powerleveling Guide

I know many players who complain about the frustration of leveling a World of Warcraft toon from level 1-80. In my opinion, fast leveling is not so difficult if you know how to do it right.

There are only a few things holding you back from gathering massive amounts of experience in a very short time.

First things first: Your character class and leveling spec. Some classes are better suited for fast leveling than others, of course. For example, hunters have their own pet which helps them a lot and Mages are natural born AoE damage dealers.

But no matter which class you desire to get to level 80 – you can always save a lot of time by choosing a proven leveling talent build. Those builds focus on one advantage of your class. For example, a very popular leveling build for the Mage is the Frost build. This build enhances the Mages ability to deal damage to a lot of enemies at the same time.

The Beast Master Hunter is another example. When a hunter focuses on the Beast Mastery talent tree, the pet companion becomes very powerful. It’s like having your own tank by your side. This makes fast leveling very easy.

The second huge difficulty you have to overcome in order to increase your leveling speed is to find a good questing path.

Questing is the fastest way to gather experience, as everyone knows. But you can do quests both in an efficient and streamlined path and a random and chaotic path.

There’s nothing that saves as much time as dialing your questing path. But streamlining your questing path is a very difficult task. The only quick fix is getting a leveling guide add-on. Such an add-on provides you with an already tested, perfect questing path so you can literally fly through the levels.

Get a proven talent build and a leveling guide and you are ready to ding 80 in no time!

Is This How You Level A Character In WoW?

It’s actually easy to level up any WoW character if you know the ins and outs of leveling. This leveling strategy overview will help you to find the fastest way to level your twink and avoid all time sinks.

I know how frustrating leveling a WoW character is. It took days to get your character from level 1 to level 60. And with every expansion it took more time, more effort.

That’s why I want to help you increase your levelin speed and show you how fast leveling is done.

Let’s take a look at the different ways to gather experience – and how efficient each option really is!

Option 1: Visiting Instances

Now, actually this is possible in two different ways. You can visit instances with or without level 80 friends or guild mates. You will definitely spend a lot of time when you go with players of your own level. You have to find a group and clear the instance step by step. Maybe you will even wipe.

If a level 80 character accompanies you, you can easily farm great equipment and therefore can level a bit faster. But you will not get any experience, so you can’t just level up like this.

Visiting instances with a high-level friend makes fast leveling easier, but is not viable for leveling by itself.

Option 2: Party Questing

Unfortunately, doing quests in a group is nothing but a huge time sink. Sure, you can complete quests faster in a party, but you will also get less experience from killing mobs. And if you happen to play with beginners who have no idea what they are doing you are in for a great time sink.

Option 3: Leveling Alone With An Ingame Leveling Guide

This is basically the best way to master fast leveling at the moment. An ingame leveling guide gives you a step-by-step blueprint – the most efficient way to get from level 1-80. Believe me, this will feel like leveling on auto-pilot!

WoW Mage Guide For Fast Leveling

Leveling a mage is a diffucult class if you want to level fast. The reason why is, that their talent trees differ so much from each other. It depends a lot on your personal, unique playing style if you should go for the fire or the frost leveling spec.

In this fast leveling guide I will show you an easy leveling tactic for WoW mages.

The strategy is separated into 3 different stages:

Stage One – Fire

When you start out, you don’t have all the Frost talents to use an AoE strategy. To level fast in the beginning, you need as much raw DPS as possible. You kill mobs faster and finish quests faster, too.

Fire deals a lot of damage in a short period of time, which is perfect for the first couple of quests and levels.

Stage Two – Frost

At the later levels you can transition into the Frost tree. Once you have all the crucial skills, you can start to kill off dozens of mobs with your AoE skills. For really fast WoW leveling, an AoE strategy is the perfect way!

Mages are still squichy and will die in seconds once mobs come into their melee range. The spells of the Frost tree are perfect for situations like this. A timed Ice Block can save your life many times.

Stage Three – Anything Goes

As you approach the end game, your mage becomes very, very powerful. Now it doesn’t matter as much which Tree you play. Now the best way is the talent tree you feel the most comfortable with!

That’s my quick 3-stage mage leveling strategy. I wish I could give you accurate levels for the transition phases, but I trust that you will “feel” when it’s time to switch.

You’ll slow down because of mana problems and handling tough mobs one by one. If you’re flexible and don’t cling to one tree all the time, fast leveling becomes easy.

Have fun! I know you’ll hit level 80 soon!
